OneTeam Partners
OneTeam Partners works with licensees to help student athletes turn their name, image and likeness into real earnings through group licensing. By opting in, UConn student athletes can have their NIL included in products like jerseys, t-shirts, video games, or trading cards sold by major brands such as Nike, Athletes Thread, Campus Ink, EA Sports, Topps and more.

NIL Creative
NIL Creative is UConn Athletics’ in-house NIL department of student videographers solely dedicated to UConn student athlete brand deals. Its purpose is to help student athletes create high-quality, strategic content that enhances their personal brands and maximizes their own NIL opportunities.
The use of UConn IP requires further approvals. Please reach out to Hannah Parr for scheduling of this service.
Facility Rentals
Student athletes must receive approval from the NIL team for any filming of third-party NIL endorsements in our athlete facilities. Please reach out to Dom Godi for all NIL facility use and rental inquiries.
Facility Rental FAQ
What type of deals/productions are considered facility rentals?
All filming for deals that are NOT being done by our NIL Creative team will require a facility rental fee.
How much does it cost to rent a facility?
The rental rate is $225/ hour. For rentals lasting 8 hours or more, a flat rate of $5,000 applies.
How much lead time is required?
Please allow for 5-7 business days, but it is also dependent on the scope of the project.
What paperwork is required?
All facility rentals will be required to fill out a facility use agreement from us and send a certificate of insurance with the proper addressed language.
Student Athlete NIL Education
As the landscape of college athletics continues to change, UConn has embraced the Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) era with confidence. We consistently strive to support our student-athletes in this space with the primary goal of enhancing this support system inclusive of partnerships and resources. Student-athletes will receive ongoing education from the Office of Athletics Compliance regarding third-part NIL, resources available to assist them in their NIL endeavors and their requirement to disclose in Influencer and NIL Go.
Due to the settlement in the House v. NCAA case, if you have a NIL deal of $600.00 or more with a third-party (an individual or entity other than UConn) you MUST report it at NILGo.com. Please navigate to NILGo.com and create your account as soon as possible to ensure there is no lapse in submission. Note that as part of the registration process you will be asked to share your NCAA Eligibility Center ID number.
Disclosing the deal in NILGo MUST be done within five business days of execution of the NIL contract or otherwise agreement to the contract or payment terms. Failure to do so may lead to penalties, including the loss of your NCAA eligibility.

FAQ
What is UConn’s NIL Policy?
To establish a policy pursuant to which University of Connecticut (“University”) student-athletes are permitted by the University to (1) earn compensation through an endorsement contract, revenue sharing agreements, or employment in an activity unrelated to an intercollegiate athletic program; and (2) obtain legal or professional representation of an attorney or sports agent through a written agreement, provided that in each case, the student-athlete complies with the terms and conditions of this policy and applicable law.

What are NCAA’s Guidance Regarding Third Party Involvement?
Effective July 1, 2021, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) adopted the Interim Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) Policy allowing NCAA student-athletes the opportunity to benefit from their NIL.
NIL activity disclosure information
Student-athletes are required to disclose all NIL activity agreements and contracts for professional services for representation. Disclosure must occur through the Opendorse platform. To disclose an NIL activity, please login to Opendorse
What Forms of NIL Compensation are prohibited?
(a) Compensation for a student-athlete's NIL may not be conditioned on athletic performance or participation.
(b) Compensation for a student-athlete's NIL may not be conditioned on a student-athlete remaining enrolled at the University.
(c) Compensation for a student-athlete's NIL may not be conditioned on a student-athlete enrolling at the University.
(d) Compensation without a clear quid pro quo (e.g., receiving tickets to a sporting event without being required to provide any service in return) is prohibited.
(e) Crowdfunding. (a) Use of crowdfunding platforms (e.g., GoFundMe) or applications used to accept funds from outside individuals (e.g., CashApp, Venmo) will be impermissible if used as a means of pay for play or accepting funds for personal uses (e.g., purchasing a car or house). (b) Crowdfunding platforms may be utilized for the following permissible uses (as per NCAA legislation): a) soliciting funds for use of NIL in regard to fundraising activities for a nonprofit/charitable or educational organization; and b) soliciting funds for actual and necessary expenses for outside competition.

Which third parties are student-athletes prohibited from engaging in NIL activities with?
(a) A tobacco company or brand, including any tobacco product, alternative nicotine product, electronic nicotine delivery system, or any electronic nicotine delivery system retailer, or any specialty retailer of electronic nicotine delivery systems or tobacco specialty store.
(b) Any alcoholic beverage company, brand, wholesaler, or store specializing in alcohol retail.
(c) Any marijuana company, product, brand, wholesaler, or store specializing in marijuana retail.
(d) Any seller or dispensary of a controlled substance, as defined by federal law.
(e) Any adult entertainment, sexually suggestive products, or sex-oriented products, services, conduct, imagery, or inferences.
(f) Any product, substance, or method that is prohibited in competition by an athletic association, athletic conference, or other organization governing intercollegiate athletic program competition.
(g) Any gambling activity.
(h) Any company that offers services for homework assistance or paper writing assistance.
